Gnosis believes that creativity is the essence of human life: we are moved by creative messages. However, creative output, valued emotive vision, must be nurtured and cultivated through dedication and discipline. Artistic expression is born of a patient search for intellectual and artistic excellence and fulfillment. Kratz’s work is a reflection of her close examination of existence, memory and the measure of time - what existence entails, what it means to be human. She bares her soul and touches our own as well by making us pay attention.

Mayme Kratz / Stand Still

a new Gnosis documentary now in production

To prepare, interviews will be conducted with collectors, art critics and academics for their personal perspective and interaction with Kratz. Told in her voice, visually she, her working environment and her finished output – as seen in her studio, in galleries and in environments for which it was created – will be on the screen. The doc is intended to share and reveal Kratz’s on-going dialogue with her own process.
